Marieke Gouda is a farmstead cheese produced at Wisconsin’s Holland’s Family Cheese. The Pentermans are first generation dairy farmers, having arrived just over a decade ago from Holland, and now with a 480 acre farm – plenty of room for their growing herd of cows. Marieke Penterman returned to Holland to learn how to craft that country’s most famous cheese. They are now producing phenomenal cheeses that win awards in competitions year after year. Marieke Gouda has the typical firm texture of the classic Goudas, with a caramel sweet flavor that is beautifully balanced.
