Fascinated by the myriad of gourmet cheeses at his local
Village grocery store, Alex Garcia set off on a mission to
learn as much as he could on the delectable curd. Hailing from
south Texas, Alex was initially a photography student. A
summer with the exquisite cuisine of Spain along with a move
to New York City opened his eyes to the world of the culinary
arts. His next step was to join Terrance Brennan's famed
Artisanal Fromagerie & Bistro, where his education
continued. In November of 2004, Alex became the Assistant
Affineur to Daphne Zepos and Cave Manager at Artisanal Premium
Cheese Center.
