Camembert, Artisanal American
Country United States |
Milk Type Cow |
Cheese Type Soft |
Wine Chardonnay |
|
25th Annual Conference, American Cheese Society's winner. Our Artisanal Select American Camembert hails from a French cheese maker based in Michigan and is as good as any Camembert available in the United States: imported or domestic. Over the past few years, an overwhelming demand and increasingly-industrial production has caused the quality of many Camemberts to decline, even those that are available from within France! This artisanally-produced American Camembert is as soft as a Camembert should be and it has a mild, clean and well-balanced flavor, with just a little bit of the "heart" remaining. Enjoy this cheese on its own or you might try pairing it with a Cider or a Chardonnay wine. |
