Marieke Gouda
Pronounced mar-EE-ka HOW-dah
Marieke Gouda is an award-winning raw cow's milk cheese produced on a Dutch family-owned farm in Wisconsin. It is carefully cured for nine months on imported Dutch pine planks, in a temperature and humidity controlled aging cellar, producing a rich, full flavor with caramel overtones. Its texture is creamy with crystallization deposits.
Pairs well with a spicy red or Zinfandel.
Each cheese comes with a fromager note (describing the cheese with beverage pairing suggestions) and a cheese serving tag identifying its name, origin and milk type.
