Fontina Val D'Aosta
This wonderful cow's milk cheese is made in the 6,500 foot high Alpine pastures of Italy. This semi-firm, cooked and pressed cheese is washed in the Italian caves to develop its signature aroma and keep the paste plump. The uniquely rich and nutty flavor is reminiscent of truffles, with a subtle fruity, grassy aroma and supple texture. Perfectly pairs with Pinot Grigio, Merlot, or Lager style beer.
